I love this one. What "medium" do you use? Oils? I know nothing about painting so will ask dumb questions.

Thanks Blog Fodder! I love your name, you were so clever to come up with that.
There's no dumb questions!

All of the art on this blog utilizes my beginners attempts at using Photoshop Elements. However, i usually do begin with an image often from Wikimedia, or other free image sites and sometimes my own acrylic or watercolour abstracts.
Strangely i don't think i've ever used my own photos but i do scan in lots of little elements to use.

Starting with nothing on PSE is of course the dream; to be a real digital artist, lol! But i still find it difficult and discouraging; heck, i still don't know a fraction of the tricks or even the terminology that PS has.

Sometimes i just have to get into the paint and make some hands on art and lately i've been getting paint on my fingers a lot.

This piece started with a black Sharpie marker. The original colours are a really awful pinkish and grey bckgrd with salmon coloured bits.

Then in PSE it looks like i played with the bucket of paint in the optical pattern using different colours. It's fun and real easy to lose track of the exact steps because there's so many different effects to try out and then undo and try something else.
It all happens sort of automatically that way and when i tire of it i click save.

Sorry for the long answer. If you have this or similar program on your 'puter try it out and you'll be an artist in no time!
