My first art using gouache

Not sure yet if i like it or not. I bought a set of 18 vibrant colours and havent tried it watered down much yet. It has a flat matt finish and is easy to clean up so thats a plus but blendability is more difficult as they are very opaque.  Guess i'll play with it and figure it out as i go. Here's my first try and it was so flat i've used the PSE plastic coating to give it some dimension.

Alphabet

Two versions; first the original acrylic and then the 'shopped one. I don't think the alphabet shows up in either but it was my inspiration and it is there.

25 pieces of art over the next 5 days. Day 1 - closeups of the original

Ok i guess this sounds a little excessive but going to try anyhow. The piece is an acrylic abstract i created this week and much to my surprise when i opened it in Photoshop it looked great in so many  different colours and effects i couldn't pick just 1 or 2 or 3...
The first 5 are fragments of the original before i started PS messing with the piece. Stay tuned for 5 each day until i feel it's dead and done!
