DNA melting homework or maybe a cheater paper

I found this piece of paper on the floor  at the local Dairy Queen and read about the strands holding fast until the melting point and then rapidly let go. I found it very interesting so i kept it to use in a piece of art someday - that was about 5 years ago. Well, heres my artwork homework. Still don't understand what it all mean but then mysteries are interesting subject matter, especially if you try to figure out what the art is saying. Well, it's not saying anying. Art dosn't talk!

#1 in a new art series "Messing with the Masters"

Some might think it's not right or nice to mess around with another artists' work and then call it their own.  However, second hand or re-worked art is often done in the form of rubber stamps, recolouring,  using a different background etc. by amateur artists, which  i most definitely am. I'm a Photoshopping grandma, adding to the original, subtracting from it and changing it whilst creating a new piece of artwork from it.
The first one happened sort of accidently and since i've never seen any other art using this method i'm claiming it as my very own original technique!
My first make over utilizes a painting of Angelo Bronzino (1503 - 1572)
Top is Eleonora da Toledo by Angelo Bronzino.
Bottom is my Photoshop make over
Please comment if you like it, and also if you don't. I'd really appreciate your feedback.

Monday Monday

Monday Monday
can't trust that day,
Monday Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
But whenever Monday comes you can find me crying all of the time
Monday, Monday!

Arrange - scannerology

I happened into an artists blog a while back and was intrigued with her idea of simply laying out images and junque on the scanner bed and having it turn out to be really beautiful art collages.

For some reason i left the site without bookmarking it and don't remember anything about the name. Spent hours trying to retrace my steps and at google using the word scannerology and there were some links but not to this same site.

So, trying to get the hang of it; this is my second and possibly last one because it took too many tries to get things straight and even then i wasn't really totally happy with it. I could have glued it together upright and scanned it alot faster.

It's tricky planning a piece working upside down and with images on the bottom that will be in the front being covered with other images in the background and you can't see what you're doing (and can't remember what colour or what image was where )

Oh well thats the way things go sometimes. But i do wish i could find that blog again so i could ask questions and maybe get a better clue into how to exactly to do it.   It was fun and it's a whole 'nuther new artform that i might pursue again.

Nine squares

What to do with 9 little scraps of paper....? I didn't really have a plan; just scanned them and played Photoshop until i liked what was happening.
This is what i started with
Added 9 random existing plainish and boring colours on top of them
Erased off alot of the top colour to reveal the originals beneath then played with overall colour, lighting and texture.  I like 'em!
Heres another version created with just one more click on the gradient map
That was fun and so easy; i made several more versions of the same thing in different colours but will stick with the blues cuz that's my favourite colour.
